A User needs to first be added as a Contact

Creating a New User

STEP 1

Before you can create a New User you’ll need to create a Contact for them first. Follow the New Contact steps before proceeding if you haven't already done this.

STEP 2

Once you have added a Contact they will appear on the Company page as a Contact. Contacts are identified by the generic User icon while all Users will have their initials shown on a custom coloured Dot.

STEP 3

Click on the Send Invite button.

STEP 4

A sidebar window will appear where you will be asked to confirm the User’s details and select a User Type. This will determine what the User will be able to see and do within your Beeswax account. Click Save once done.

STEP 5

An email will be sent to the User. It will look like this. It will be from a no-reply@beeswaxapp.com. So when you send them an invite and they say they didn't get one, make sure you get them to look in their spam or just remind them that it will not be from you directly but from a generic Beeswax email.

STEP 6

The User needs to click on the Accept Invitation button. Which will take them to a Set Password screen on the Beeswax application website. This will be a unique link that will only be able to be accessed via the link in the email.

STEP 7

Once they have set their Password they will be able toBeeswax. This process confirms that they accept your invitation and they become an Active User within your Beeswax account with permissions set based on the Role you assign them when you sent the invitation.

Note:

If and when they accept your invitation you will then see their User details appear. This will replace the Contact details that you entered originally. Only they can update this information. From that moment on they will have their own Beeswax User which is global and allows them to be invited into to other Beeswax Accounts.

They become the master of their own User details. If they update their user details then they this will update  throughout the Beeswax community.

For example, if they update their phone number or address, it will change on their User details everywhere they appear. You won’t have to update this yourself.

Their email address can’t change however as this is their unique User login.

One last thing, if they don’t accept the invitation ( you can't force people to accept it) then they will simply appear as a Contact under your Beeswax account until they do.
