Templates

We believe it DRY (don't repeat yourself). Templates will save you time.

Overview

Templates are just another way Beeswax helps you gain efficiencies into your business. It’s a perfect example of the DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself) principle.

Do you find that when you Quote a new project you tend to go back and try to find a Quote that you prepared for someone else and then just modify it to suit.

You’re essentially just using an old Quote as a template. That’s really where Templates come in. Using Templates can save you a whole lot of time. Remember DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself). Try to avoid reinventing the wheel each time.

Beeswax allows you to

  1. Create a new Template from scratch.
  2. Import a Template into an Invoice, Quote or Expense.
  3. Save a Template from an existing Quote, Invoice or Expense

Templates are Type specific. Meaning that you need to specify whether you are creating a Quote, Invoice or Expense. As each one can only be loaded to their respective document Type.

Note: Remember that you can convert a Quote into an Invoice when you are in the Project. So if you have a Quote template that you wish to turn into an Invoice you need to first load the Quote template into a Quote and then convert the quote into an invoice.

In other words, you can create a Quote template, then load it into a new Quote, and then create an Invoice from that Quote.
