Payroll can be complex but Beeswax offers a simple solution that will cater to the majority of Full Time  or Part Time employees.

While Payroll in Beeswax can be used to pay part time employees with irregular hours, it is based suited to businesses who have simple payroll needs.

It’s not meant for bundy in and bundy out style businesses where you are paying employees irregular amounts based on hours they do each period.

No, Beeswax is just for a small business with a team of a employees who get paid regularly (such as once a month) and who’s salary doesn’t change regularly.

It’s for businesses where each employee expects to be paid the same amount each time. In other words, you don’t pay employees at different times and you their salary doesn’t change each time. I know that might seem like it’s stating the obvious given this is just good business practice but it’s important to be clear about the best fit for your type of payroll needs.

For this reason we assume that you have a regular automated payment scheduled at the bank which goes out each payment period (weekly, fortnightly or monthly) so that you or whoever is managing the payroll doesn’t have to remember to process this manually each time. What if they are away or god forbid hit by a bus. Employees hate nothing more than not getting paid when they expect to. And honestly…that’s fair enough.

So, setting up a automatic payment schedule at the bank makes a lot of sense and saves you time and other headaches. And generally speaking the only time you ever need to make a change is if someone either gets a pay rise or leaves and you need to do a final pro rata payment based on their final day.
